We can all agree that the best of benchmade is in the past for all of us. Stop buying their products

If it wasn't for the bailout, nothing would be appealing to me from benchmade. Far too thick stock, way too expensive, nothing innovative or special. They are going to die If they don't do something.

Benchmade Skirmish 630 is one of my grail folders. I have and never had many Benchmade knives, I currently own 4. The last knife I bought from Benchmade is the Adamas 375-1, the fixed blade version in CruWear. The knife is great but the plastic sheath is not so good. With a custom kydex sheath and handle scales from tpgrips, the Adamas 375-1 is really great. There are so many good knife manufacturers today, China in particular is getting better and better. I personally don't need Benchmade. Greetings from germany.

I can definitely tell that you are a “disciple” 😉 of Craig Douglas and Michael Janich. Very good men to be following and to be buying gear to fit their philosophy. I do too! I will say that if you can carry a firearm that Sayoc Kali adapted training like that from Bill Rapier and Kyle Defoor is very helpful. The idea of “other strong side carry” that use reverse grip draw techniques with narrow knives that have a punyo to allow for you to create space and then draw your pistol while retaining your knife is very useful. Amtac Minuteman/Magnus and Headhunter Rat may be good knives to add to this list of already esteemed blades. My last thought would be that if you cannot carry a pistol, why not go bigger on the blade? Not that much more difficult to deploy with proper training. When carried in the right sheath it is comfortable. And wow, a double edged 5 inch blade would be a wicked tool to contend with in a grapple!! Thanks for the video!

I think I'm done with Benchmade for good now. I really wanted to get the new Freek versions. But I think I just gonna sell all my Benchmade knives, even my early 1990s & 2000s and limited editions. It took them almost 30 YEARS to improve on the AXIS lock, and everything they did was go from round springs to Flat wire springs. Their Prices are OUTRAGEOUS, and are not for the Working class anymore. Spyderco will get my money instead.

Cheers! Eventually, a floating model would be interesting to me because I do fishing. Prices are an unfavorable factor in Europe. I rarely see their models in use, they are mostly collector's items. I think this is wrong, because after all, these are mass-produced examples that, apart from the lining, do not differ from their brothers. The quality of the blade blah blah and in the end it's just an exhibition specimen that is either in a box or on a shelf. Why the best blade when everyone is looking at the cover. Most people brag about expensive knives, and if they didn't cut themselves with them while cleaning them, many didn't cut anything other than paper. I am a supporter of cheaper and usable Opinel, Ganzo or fixed Mora knives. For many, quality is declining, and design stands out as a more important factor than usability.

Brother, I tried to watch that giveaway video you had and no matter what I did. It wouldn’t let me watch it. Every time I started to watch it it told me how many minutes it was in progress, but it never would let me watch it. I don’t just watch your videos for giveaways, of course But it was really strange that I couldn’t watch that video. On another note, I would just buy a new computer and get rid of those headaches and money problems even though you would incur a little more cost, but an updated computer would take away some of those headaches. . I don’t really care for bench made knives. I have owned a few, including the bench made infidel, and it was subpar compared to other makers. The only one I like that I owned is the super freak.

I like my bailout M4 but it seems like they screwed up, then got some credibility back, then they screw up again. I'll enjoy my bailout but I don't think i'll be recommending the brand to anyone or buy from them again in the future.

Either way Benchmade is wrong. The FTC voted to ban noncomplete contracts, so Benchmade has no ground to stand on.

In 45 years alive, I've never EVER seen a large corporation get to the level they usually attain, by playing fair, or by playing nice. End of the day these large companies like benchmade & many other different companies in many different fields couldn't give a toss if they shut the little guy down, force his family to the bread line or completely destroy his family, as long as they dominate the market & keep the sale of units at the highest of high, they truly couldn't care less about who they destroy. AND they sleep at night on their silk pillows with their ferrari in the garage & not miss a wink or have a thought for who they kill.

Well, when I saw it on Amazon on a Limited Time Deal for $17.49... it went right into the cart. It's bulky, odd, kinda funky... but who doesn't want another decent quality knife at half price?

I was pretty bummed when I found out. Pretty much the last nail in the coffin for me and buying benchmades. I’ve been a huge fan of MKC for over a year now, and I think I’ll stick with them all the way. Jared if you ever want to check out an MKC, I have most of their models. They are great users IMO.

I’m from Oregon, never bought Benchmade , but non compete clauses in contracts hold up in court for reasons of simply working for a competitor all the way up to providing competitive companies multi million dollar knife designs and tech that the employee was privileged to prior to their departure

Benchmade has been on a long slow slide. The company and the knife designs are not what they used to be. The prices are out of control on the Blue and Black classes not to mention the ridiculous gold class garbage.

I rather spend my hard earned money on Rob Johnson cedar or machine wise Sonora

looks rad but you should add a thumb stud. i think everything should have thumb studs even if it has a cutout because multiple forms of deployment is not bad and i can replace the thumb stud with an aftermarket emerson wave attachment

Benchmade is trash. They've been trash. They also hate the community. They stand against what the vast majority of knife owners believe in. Namely, freedom.

I love your knife design. However, I live in Colorado ... which means I can only conceal a max of 3.5 inch blade. Could you also offer this knife with a blade length of 3.0 to 3.5?

Benchmade is shitting the patent expiration on the axis lock. That has been their edge for the last few years, now they are swimming in the deep end.

It would have been slicey enough with a flat grind, but Neeve’s has to pop out with the hollow grind to make it crazy. I am so excited.

Went over and read the court docs. I believe they really messed up this time. They dismissed their own lawsuit without the defendant filing any with the court. Thats not good for them if mkc decides to pursue a suit to recoup fees (which i think they already did). Now its public. I now remember why I never bought a bench made. Never felt right about their company helping police destroy the gu* years ago. My experience with lawsuits is even if you're right, no one ever wins except the attorneys. Unless A LOT of money is lost better just cut your losses. Lawyers are $700+hr, they work slow, and several YEARS later you'll have a piece of paper that legally says you're right. Edit: The knife name is brilliant btw👍👍

the arc lighter is great for pipes too, just don't use with a metallic pipe. Bastard shocked me.
